I must say that after receiving this flat iron I went to use it and was loving it till I looked at the digital thermostat. As I was flat ironing my hair the temperature would decrease so I thought there was something wrong with my iron. No where did I ever read that this iron would do that. So I thought I was going to have to return it till I went to a friends house who happens to have the same iron. She has short hair and it didn't do that to her I happened to have long hair and hers did the same thing. Long story short I then realized that this iron just decreases in heat if you are running it through long hair... I still love it though! Very happy with this iron

I've never owned a Chi prior to this one but it is identical to what is sold at a well known beauty supply store. It heats up almost instantly. I use it on dry hair divided into sections then iron 1" at a time. With my Goldplate & my Conair I'd have to iron at least twice. With the Chi I only have to iron once. My son uses it and his hair looks ironed even after washing it. My straightend hair usually has to be protected against light rain + humidity but when I use this iron my hair does not curl or frizz up.More detail ...

PERFECT HAIR FOREVER!!

I just bought a chi.. this chi to be exact. It's the goddess of all flat irons. I had a cheap Wal Mart hair iron. I used to have to wash my hair take it into section blow dry w/ a round brush THEN go over every piece of hair w/ my cra**y flat iron again and again. And when I went outside if it was rainy or humid forget it my hair would fuzz out all over again. I don't have curly curly hair more like really thick frizzy wavy sorta curly but not hair. Totally NOT cute. With the chi my hair is super soft and looks like I was born with perfectly straight beautiful shiny hair. HA! Now I shower towel dry and take the chii to it. It takes about 15 min. STAYS ALL DAY LONG and feels really great. I don't even need to use any anti frizz serum or anything like that. It is a bit pricey but worth every penny.More detail ...
